Karen G. Lessin, B.A., M.B.A., Chief Executive Officer and Compliance Officer
Karen G. Lessin serves as KGL Skin Study Center’s Chief Executive and Compliance Officer. She is the former Senior Vice President for Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, and HIPAA Privacy of Independence Blue Cross, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a $10 billion company. During her 28-year tenure, she created and managed a multi-functional, integrated, corporate and IT audit, compliance and anti-fraud department. She implemented and directed HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid and organization-wide compliance programs.
Stuart R. Lessin, M.D., Medical Director
Stuart R. Lessin, M.D. serves as KGL Skin Study Center’s Medical Director. He is an American Board of Dermatology certified dermatologist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. He has over 30 years of laboratory and clinical research experience including topical drug development and testing; from IND to NDA submission. He was a NIH funded laboratory investigator at the University of Pennsylvania and served as the Director of Dermatology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he created and directed clinical care programs and a clinical trial program testing topical therapies.
Michelle C. Golding, M.A. CCRC, Executive Director
Michelle C. Golding serves as KGL Skin Study Center’s Executive Director. Michelle is a certified clinical research coordinator (CCRC) through the Association of Research Professionals (ACRP). She has training in microbiology and immunology with over thirteen years of experience in laboratory and clinical research. She assists in the implementation of business strategies and organizational plans, supervises staff and has direct oversight of all KGL clinical trials.
Kyle Bramble, B.S., CCRC, Director of Clinical Operations
Kyle Bramble serves as the Director of Clinical Operations. He previously served as KGL’s Clinical Research Coordinator for 3 years and is certified through ACRP. He continues to manages multiple pharmaceutical, consumer product and safety RIPT studies while directing the building operations.
Melanie Chappell, B.S., Lead Lab Technician
Melanie Chappell serves as a research technician and KGL Skin Study Center’s Database Coordinator. She has over twenty years of laboratory and clinical research experience including patch testing and expert grading. She coordinates database entry and queries for study recruitment.
Sheri FitzGerald, Director of Research Administration
Sheri Fitzgerald serves as the Director of Research Administration with over fifteen years of clinical research experience and manages the administrative aspects of KGL including vendor profiles, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. She also provides clinical trial support including data collection and data entry.
Jennifer Garafolo, Research Assistant
Jennifer Garafolo serves as a Medical Research Assistant and is a certified phlebotomist and ECG technician. She has over ten years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including photography, data collection, data entry and quality control.
Michael Coyle, BS, CNA, Clinical Research Assistant
Michael Coyle serves as a Clinical Research Assistant with over five years of clinical experience. He is a certified Nursing Assistant and provides trial support for pharmaceutical and consumer product studies.
Elisa D’Angelo, Research Assistant
Elisa D’Angelo serves as a Research Assistant with over ten years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including data collection, data entry and quality control.
Robin Fein, Research Assistant
Robin Fein serves as a Research Assistant with two years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including data collection, data entry, quality control, copy editing and clinical writing.
Bernadette Lonergan, Research Assistant
Bernadette Lonergan serves as a Research Assistant with over fifteen years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including recruitment, scheduling and data collection.
Marie Windle, Research Assistant
Marie Windle serves as a Research Assistant with over ten years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including recruitment and scheduling.
Joanne Cellini, Research Assistant
Joanne Cellini serves as a Research Assistant with two years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including recruitment, scheduling and data collection.

Carol Lloyd serves as a Research Assistant with two years of clinical research experience and provides clinical trial support including recruitment, scheduling and data collection.
